Sprinklers – or Automatic Fire Suppression Systems (AFSS) – can save lives, homes, and businesses. They provide protection from the worse effects of fire damage as well as providing people a greater chance of escaping from a building on fire. Reducing the damage and severity of a fire can also save your business money.

Since 2013 it has been a legal requirement in Wales to install AWFSS in all newly built and converted dwellings which includes:

  • Flats

  • Specialised housing

  • Care homes( As defined in the Care Standards Act 2000)

  • Children’s Homes

  • Hospices

  • Student accommodation

  • Boarding Houses

  • Hostels (other than those used for short stay leisure accommodation)
