Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRO), a fire risk assessment undertaken by a “responsible person” has to be completed. This fire risk assessment must produce several outcomes including a fire emergency plan and an ongoing fire risk process which must be reviewed and maintained.

Do I have to provide Fire Training for my staff ?
Every employee must receive some basic fire safety training, this should be delivered by a competent person and should be provided on induction, the training should be recorded and kept available for inspection and repeated annually.
The level of training required depends upon the role the employee is required to carry out in the event of fire. The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 states that Responsible Persons must nominate persons to assist with evacuation and ensure the protective and preventative measures are maintained in effective condition.
